Rare Works By Malang Santos, Hernando Ocampo, and More To Go Under the Virtual Gavel

If you have a blank wall in your house that needs some artistic embellishment, Leon Gallery is making it easier for collectors to do their art shopping online and it's almost as simple as adding to cart. On January 18 and 19, the Leon Exchange Online Auction will take place and offer some prized works of art in its first auction of the year. The highlight of the sale include works by master Hernando R. Ocampo and Mauro "Malang" Santos.
“One can indulge his or her taste for beautiful items at various price points at the upcoming online auction and all that from one’s boudoir or armchair,” says Leon Gallery director Jaime Ponce de Leon. “The online auction gives clients the convenience of bidding through their mobile [phones], tablets, or laptops without having to trek all the way to where physical auctions happen. This convenience makes online auctions at lower starting bids—but no less fabulous pieces—trending.”
Indeed, Ponce de Leon makes a point, as prices for starting bids are considerably low, with watercolor paintings as low as P2,000 to P10,000 and works by recognized artists such as Emmanuel Garibay, Juvenal Sanso, Romulo Olazo, Mark Justiniani, and more, on the line.
Here are some of the highlights:
“Still Life” (Flowers) by Mauro "Malang" Santos

“Skyward” Boceto by Hernando R. Ocampo
“Celebration” by Onib Olmedo
