What do you like most about each other?
Angelo’s favorite quality about me is that I am his cheerleader. He always appreciates me taking time to build him up when he’s discouraged and share positive words that push him towards his goals. What I love about Angelo is the joy in his heart—he’s known for smiling under pressure. At the retreat, I realized his gift of bringing people together to help them reach their maximum potential. I knew Angelo was the one when I checked off all his points on my list of non-negotiables. I never told him about this list, but waited to see each one unfold before my eyes. I also valued the counsel and blessing of people dear to me. When they gave their blessing, I felt peace and joy knowing Angelo was God’s best for me.
You had a beautiful outdoor wedding!
Our wedding theme was rustic and classic romantic. I was a former ballet dancer and our color palette of lavender, pink, and peach was evident in shows I performed in, like Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker. Tell us about your favorite moments.
We wanted a simple ceremony that would honor God, our parents, and each other. We shared our testimonies and honored our parents with personal speeches we wrote especially for them. The day flashed before our eyes and before we knew it, people were ready to head home. Watching our wedding videos, which I continue to watch again and again to this day, allowed us to see what was happening in the flurry around us.
