There’s Something Different About This BMW Showroom in Pampanga

Besides wood accents from local craftsmen, the showroom is the first in the country that features the new global BMW design language.

In the premium car segment in the Philippines, BMW operates the most number of dealerships in the country. Those looking to purchase the BMW car of their dreams can go to dedicated showrooms not just in Metro Manila, but also in Cebu and Pampanga.

Interestingly, while the flagship BMW showroom is located in Greenhills, San Juan, the one located in San Fernando, Pampanga is unique for being the first in the country to offer the new showroom design language of the German luxury carmaker. This new Retail.Next concept integrates technology with a “holistic” customer-centric design that not just aligns with global standards but improves the overall experience for its stakeholders.

The BMW showroom in Pampanga, which is owned by the Laus Group of Companies, has been existing for a few years now, but it is the first to have been renovated in accordance with the carmaker’s Retail.Next concept. In late February, the showroom reopened after having undergone the redesign.

Measuring about 1,256 square meters, Pampanga Premier Cars welcomes customers with double glass doors facing the main road, and floor to ceiling glass windows that frames up to six vehicles on display. The Highlight Car Display is the first thing customers see when they enter, showcasing the so-called “hero” vehicle under strategic lighting, helping tell the BMW story in just one car.

Then there’s a Sales Lounge that looks more like a cozy living room rather than a typical auto showroom where customers can confer with BMW’s sales associates in private, and a Multifunctional Bay where customers can customize their chosen unit using interactive digital tools.

Towards the rear there’s the BMW Café, with intriguing carved wooden accents that officials say were made right there in Pampanga, adding a nice local touch to the globally recognized automotive brand; and a Customer Lounge designed for comfort and engagement.

The Retail.Next showroom also features a Service Consultation Lounge  where customers can discuss vehicle maintenance and services in a setting that combines physical interaction with digital tools, as well as a Parts and Accessories Display, where genuine accessories, lifestyle products and performance upgrades are front and center.

In all, the new Retail.Next concept uses thoughtful interior design, new digital technologies, and new customer-facing roles and processes, to provide a holistic experience for customers.

"The opening of our first-ever Retail.Next showroom in the Philippines is an exciting milestone for our brand in the region,” said Lars Nielsen, managing director, BMW Group Asia during a pre-taped message played during the opening. “The Philippines is now the fifth market in the BMW Group Asia region to roll out Retail.Next and change the way we interact with our customers, and how they interact with our brand.

“In today’s retail landscape, both the physical and digital space remain equally important and need to seamlessly come together, ensuring customers have the best experience possible,” he added. “We believe Retail.Next is the perfect way to make this happen and allows our customers to engage with our brand in a meaningful way, whether through immersive in-store experiences or intuitive digital touchpoints.”
