The Avengers 4 trailer has been so feverishly anticipated that even Christmas Day itself will be hard put to top it. But it's finally here.

Fans have been eagerly watching for any news regarding the release of the movie, which was first announced in October 2014 as a part 2 to the blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War. The trailer, of course, has been on top of our lists of Things to Watch Out For, as it provides a sneak peek at some pretty emotional moments and big developments in the story:

Kevin Faige, president of Marvel Studio, had already assured fans that the trailer would come before the New Year, but the date has changed several times. Fans expected the trailer to debut at a special screening of Avengers: Infinity War on November 29, but that didn't materialize. And then rumor was that it was scheduled for Wednesday, December 5, but the death of former US president George H.W. Bush may have put the kibosh on any entertainment happenings on that day.

The release date for the movie itself is now pegged at 26 April 2019, rescheduled a few weeks ahead of its initially announced date.

EDIT: This article has been edited to reflect the new release date for the movie, which was initially announced to be May 3, 2019.
