Bar Boys: A New Musical Announces Extension After Sold-Out Shows
Bar Boys: A New Musical did not only resonate with law students and practitioners but also with a lot of people living in the current political turmoil. This was obvious after the production had sold out shows in its initial staging in May, then again during its rerun this October. With seats for the remaining shows all filled, Barefoot Theatre Collaborative announced that they're extending Bar Boys: A New Musical for another week with six additional shows from November 7 to 10. Staging is still at the Power Mac Center Spotlight in Circuit Makati.
The musical, which is based on Kip Oebanda's 2017 film of the same title, follows the life of four friends and their journey through law school. All while looking at the struggles and triumphs faced by these characters amid the realities of the legal system in the Philippines and pursuing a career in law in the country.
