Law School Musical, Bar Boys, Is Finally Having a Rerun
Bar Boys: A New Musical's limited three-week run last May earned positive reviews and standing ovations, and it was only a matter of time before producer Barefoot Theatre Collaborative brought it back to the stage. That time is now as the production announced a five-week run from October 4 to November 3, 2024, at the Power Mac Center Spotlight, Circuit Makati.

Theater Review: Bar Boys: A New Musical Is a Masterclass in Adaptation
Benedix Ramos as Erik

Bar Boys: A New Musical follows the life of four friends and their journey through law school and the bar exam while looking at the struggles and triumphs faced by these characters amid the realities of the legal system in the Philippines, as well as pursuing a career in law in the country. We called it a "masterclass in adaptation" after being able to stand on its own as a musical with its tweaks and expansion of characters while holding on to the core of Oebanda's narrative.
Benedix Ramos (Erik), Alex Diaz (Chris), Jerom Canlas (Torran), Omar Uddin (Josh), and Sheila Francisco (Justice Hernandez) are set to reprise their role in the much-awaited rerun. Further casting is yet to be announced.

Bar Boys: A New Musical's book and lyrics are by Pat Valera, who's returning to direct alongside Mikko Angeles. Bar Boys composer Myke Salomon and choreographer Jomelle Era are also returning as musical director and movement director, respectively.
Bar Boys: A New Musical runs from October 4 to November 3 at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater, Circuit Makati, Makati. Tickets are available through Ticket2Me.
