Coco Martin Accidentally Confirms 12-Year Relationship With Julia Montes

Ang Probinsyano actor Coco Martin has confirmed a 12-year relationship with fellow actor Julia Montes.

The couple attended the watch party for the upcoming series Unbreak my Heart, the first collaboration of ABS-CBN and GMA-7. There, ABS-CBN News reporter MJ Felipe asked Martin if the flowers he was holding were for Montes.

He responded, "Para kay Jodi [Sta. Maria], sa pagmamahal namin sa kanya." Sta. Maria is the star of Unbreak My Heart along with Richard Yap, Gabbi Garcia, and Joshua Garcia. Felipe followed up, saying "Eh, yung pagmamahal mo kay Julia?"

The actor laughed and said, "Alam niyo na yun." He continued, "Basta kami naman, di na naman kami mga bata. Kung ano siguro yung nakikita, iniisip ng mga tao, yun na yun. Kasi mas masarap kasi yung pribado yung buhay, eh, tahimik, di ba? Walang mga issue, walang mga ano… eto masaya kami."

According to the actor, privacy comes first for the both of them.

Martin then admitted that he's been in a relationship with Montes for 12 years: "Napakasarap ng pakiramdam namin dahil ito, ilang years na, 12 years na kaming magkasama pero pareho pa rin, yung gaya ng dati. Nilu-look forward namin kapag may project kami na magkasama kami at kapag may pagkakataon, nakakalabas kami, nakikita kami ng mga tao. Pero, nami-maintain namin yung privacy sa buhay namin."

Montes added, "Kung ano po yung position namin o narating namin ngayon, super blessed lang talaga kami. And never kasi nawala sa center si God so parang lahat ng nangyayaring good stuff, si God kasi din yung ano…"

Felipe asked if its true that their relationship started in 2011. The couple laughed and Martin said, "Ah, galing, ah." Montes then looked at Martin and said, "Kasi nagsabi ka na, eh." The exchange aired Tuesday, May 23 on TV Patrol.

Martin and Montes' relationship has been talked about for a while. In 2011, news that Martin was courting Montes broke. Four years later, it was reported that the two were "secretly" dating. The couple kept mum about their relationship for the whole time.

The actors first worked together in Walang Hanggan. They then starred in Ikaw Lamang, Wansapantaym, and FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.
