Philippine theater is more alive than ever as musicals release Spotify recordings, productions mount back-to-back shows, and theater tickets get sold out. With this heightened experience comes StageDoor, a new initiative by GMG Productions focused on immersive events for Filipino theater fans.

StageDoor is designed to bring the magic of musical theatre beyond the stage," said Carlos Candal, GMG Productions’ CEO. "We want to help redefine how people experience musical theatre, making it more accessible and engaging for everyone, whether it be on the stage or off."

Stagedooring, in theater lingo, is the act of waiting by the stage door after a show to catch actors—and, if lucky, get autographs or take photos with them. Most of the time, actors hang out in the theater lobby to greet theater-goers and take photos with their fans. But GMG Production's StageDoor offers so much more as they mount open mic events, sing-alongs, and trivia nights.

GMG Productions previously brought world-class musicals to Philippine shores, including Miss Saigon, Hamilton, The Sound of Music, We Will Rock You, Cats, and more. Their next production is SIX, which runs from October 4 to 20 at the Theater at Solaire.
