Nespresso Has Tapped Young, Emerging Filipino Artists to Give Its Coffee Capsules a Second Life
Nespresso wasn't voted as the world's most sustainable coffee company in the coffee processing industry for nothing. The brand has set an example on recycling and reusing coffee capsules and coffee grounds, and continually supported causes and organizations that promote sustainability.
One of the organizations Nespresso collaborates with is For The Future PH which is known for leading humanitarian solutions. The partnership has led to an exciting project with young, emerging artists to see how they would use aluminum and coffee grounds from used Nespresso capsules.
"Art and sustainability have always been at the forefront of For the Future, so we're happy to
know that Nespresso values both as well. With using aluminum capsules and coffee grounds,
Nespresso is reaching out to artists to share our message,” shared Issa Barte, For The Future
PH co-founder.
Proceeds from the sale of the commissioned artworks will support the organization's restoration efforts with the Yangil Tribe in Zambales. Take a look below.
