“I think one of the greatest reads I’ve ever experienced was Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky. I know that sounds highbrow, but to be completely honest, it was a page-turner for me,” said Pascal during a Reddit AMA session. Another Country by James Baldwin
Pascal has a taste for the classics and the controversial. Another Country was once considered a taboo read way back in the ‘60s when society wasn’t open yet about sexuality. The book is a portrait of American race, sexuality, brutality, and politics, and doesn’t shy away from dissecting the Black experience in 1960s America.
