Decade-Ender Parties Happening in BGC and MOA
There are many parties happening in the city to celebrate the end of the decade and the beginning of a new one, but one of the biggest is certainly the one Bonifacio Global City is throwing. The New Year’s Countdown promises to be one big street party that will transform the area around 5th Avenue and Bonifacio High Street into a huge celebration on December 31, 2019. The event is in partnership with ABS-CBN and Taguig City.
“As we welcome 2020 together, we’ve prepared a lineup of artists and performances that will make each and everyone feel at home, excited, and joyous for what’s about to come.” said Jun Galvez, executive director of BGC Estate Association.
Festivities will start with an anticipated high mass at 6:00 p.m. to be celebrated at the 5th avenue of Bonifacio High Street. Afterward, the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra together with singer Jonalyn Viray will serenade the crowd. As the night settles, there will be performances from artists such as Itchyworms, Bamboo, Yeng Constantino, and Billy Crawford among others.
"New Year's Eve is a festive time in the Philippines. We follow a lot of traditions to usher in a prosperous New Year with our families and loved ones. We invite everyone to the City of Taguig as we witness 2020 Rising. The celebration will also be our way of giving thanks for the blessings of 2019” said Taguig Mayor Lino Cayetano.
