At Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, You Get Dinner with a Side of Comedy
A year since the opening of Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill and the superstar chef’s first-ever location in the Philippines is more popular than ever. While guests come for the restaurant’s specialties, including the Beef Wellington and Fish & Chips, there is plenty more to discover in the menu.
Easy favorites are the Crispy Crab Cake with Caviar, Grilled Tasmanian Salmon, a Wagyu Striploin, Ribeye Steak, or Grilled Maine Lobster Thermidor.

But on the occasion of the restaurant’s first anniversary, the hardworking chefs of GRBG Manila have introduced new items just to keep things exciting and fresh. Insiders tell us the new dishes have earned the approval of Ramsay himself all the way from his homebase of London.

Starters include an exquisite serving of pan-seared King Scallop with fresh apple, bacon crumbs, Jicama turnip puree; a refreshing Kale & Quinoa Salad with carrot, beetroot, pomegranate, goat cheese, and orange dressing; a tender and moist Chicken Milanese with creamed spinach and truffle salsa; and plump Jumbo Prawns grilled with fresh coriander and lime peanut sauce, which is supposedly inspired by our own kare-kare). For dessert, there’s a Mango Knickerbocker Glory, which is layers of mango compote, graham biscuit, mango sorbet, lime whipped cream, and a new version of the restaurant’s famous Bombe Alaska with ube and vanilla ice cream, flamed table-side with a drizzle of the limited-edition Don Papa Masskara Rum.

In addition, GRBG has corralled the comics of Comedy Manila to perform for diners for two special evenings as part of the anniversary festivities. The first edition happened last Friday (August 29) and featured the hilarious GB Labrador and his pals GB Labrador, Ryan Puno, Joseph Montecillo, Aldo Cuervo, Margie De Leon, River Cruz, Issa Villaverde and Chino Liao.
On Friday (September 5), the lineup includes Ron Josol, Judd Gregorio, Mikey Andres, And the return of Ryan Puno, Issa Villaverde, and Chino Liao. Expect chuckles and LOLs as the comedians give diners a taste of their brand of observational comedy (don’t worry, no insult comics here, unless maybe you ask for it).
