Esquire Philippines had the pleasure of sampling some of the dishes included in the Secret Menu and we can say it's worth a trip to this part of Makati.

Bun Appetit's Scallop Grilled Cheese

If you love a good grilled cheese sandwich, give Bun Appetit's Scallop Grilled Cheese (P390) a try. Imagine the sweet, tender meat of bay scallops, Parmesan, and Emmental cheese, elegantly layered in potato bread. Dip it in the accompanying tomato dip—a delightful alternative to tomato soup—and it's like a warm hug after a long, stressful day.

Pilya's Kitchen's Shrimp Dumplings in Mala Cream Sauce 

If watching Culinary Class Wars has you craving "Queen of Dimsum" Chef Jung Ji Sun's Mala Cream Shrimp Dim Sum, treat yourself to Pilya's Kitchen's Shrimp Dumplings in Mala Cream Sauce (P430). It's an absolute delight to bite into its crispy crust covering the flavorful shrimp dumplings, and even more so when you generously coat it with the savory and mildly spicy mala cream sauce. La Chinesca's Toro Tostada 

One of our top favorites on the Secret Menu is La Chinesca's Toro Tostada (P810). The crispy tostada base is artfully layered with a trio of succulent bites—Chutoro zuke, Otoro aburi, and Akami. Top it off with pico de gallo and a drizzle of the creamy, zesty chipotle aioli for a harmonious blend of flavors. We also love their Wagyu Suadero Taco (P390)—tender Wagyu cheek elevated with La Chinesca's signature sauce, cradled in a soft, warm corn tortilla. Garnishing this masterpiece are finely diced onions and fresh cilantro, which add a crisp, aromatic burst.

Bored N Hungry's Fish and Chips 

For lovers of the classic fish and chips, definitely go for Bored N Hungry's Fish and Chips (P590). It features cobbler fish fillet coated with a light and crispy beer batter. The crunchy exterior gives way to tender, flaky fish inside. It's served alongside seasoned fries and a tangy tartare sauce enhancing each bite.

Thomson Road's Fragrant Gambas 

Another classic included on the Secret Menu is Thomson Road's Fragrant Gambas (P450). The shrimps are succulent and juicy, soaking up the rich, aromatic flavors of garlic and fragrant herbs. This is perfect when paired with Drappier Carte d'Or Champagne and a selection of Spanish Charcuterie from Origine. This champagne exudes scents of ripe apple, pear, and acacia flowers, complemented by flavors of brioche, almonds, and a subtle hint of honey. Order half a glass with charcuterie for P1,200, or enjoy a full glass for P1,800.

Bad Bird's Hamburgreat Curry Rice

For those who love exploring new and unique flavor combinations, order Bad Bird's Hamburgreat Curry Rice (P480). The beef-pork patty is drizzled with their signature curry sauce and served with a side of rice. To complete the dish, it's topped with battered and deep-fried onions for added texture.

Gochugang's Fire Noodles (P380) are also on the menu, perfect for those seeking a fiery kick in their meals. This Korean dish features homemade udon noodles, tender pieces of chicken, savory shiitake mushrooms, roasted sesame seeds, and kimchi, all generously coated in a signature spicy gochujang pepper sauce that promises to set your taste buds ablaze.

We finished off our meal with BLK 513's Blackout Rebel Dessert (P340)—their signature black frozen yogurt served with a sauce of your choice, paired with the decadent Dark Side Cheesecake.
