If you’re looking for a nice restaurant with unbeatable views of the city, it’s hard to beat Flame Al Fresco at the roof deck of Discovery Primea. From February 12 to 14, the outdoor dining outlet is offering a specially curated five-course set menu, featuring modern Asian fare. Sample a Tuna Ribbons salad, creamy Cauliflower Velouté, delicately Steamed Black Grouper, Josper-Grilled Rib Eye with a Japanese-inspired accompaniment, and a Molten Chocolate Cheesecake. (Valentine Set Menu at P2,800 per person).
Meanwhile, downstairs, Restaurant Tapenade offers a four-course dinner featuring the flavors of the Mediterranean. There’s Baked Oysters, Risotto Carbonara, Slow-Roasted US Beef, and Molten Chocolate Tart (P1,800 per person).
Guests availing of the Valentine Set Menus at either restaurant will also get a box of Chocolate-Espresso Madeleines.Â
If you just want to kick back at home, the hotel also offers Primea at Home: Je T’aime, which features a French-inspired multi-course feast for two bistro-style Croquetas and Crostinis, Salad Niçoise, Petite US Bistro Beef Roast with sides, and a Flourless Chocolate Cake. Each kit also comes with complimentary Chocolate-Espresso Madeleines. (The Valentine’s kit is available at P5,000. Add P1,800 for a bottle of Villa des Causses Malbec).Â

2| Crimson Hotel Filinvest City, Alabang
Crimson Hotel’s The Deck has spectacular views of the South, offering the perfect backdrop for a Valentine’s Day meal. On the menu is a curated mix of classic French and uniquely Asian Flavors. There’s foie gras and onion confit on slices of toasted brioche, followed by a croquette filled with codfish brandade, accented by a sweet-pepper coulis. The hotel’s resident chefs then play up a Surf-and-Turf theme with the soup course which features cured salmon tempered by the fresh flavor of edamame, and a main course of Black Angus tenderloin and prawns flambéed in brandy. And for dessert: white chocolate, raspberries, and lychees. (Available on February 12, 13, and 14 at P2,500 per person).
The hotel also offers special Valentine’s Day treats in its other outlets. At Baker J, you can get an assortment of viennoiseries in a box, including a strawberry cheesecake croffin (croissant-muffin); a Fleur de Framboise made with pain au lait and raspberries; Fleur de Cerise [cherry-filled croissant]; Raspberry Pepito; and Pains a la Cerise et Chocolat or croissants filled with cherries and dark chocolate. At Firehouse Pizza, the Pizza My Heart bundle includes one pizza, one salad, and one pasta, along with a bottle of wine. And at Alibi, the Get Drunk In Love promotions features Beam Suntory brand ambassador and guest bartender Mark Herrera pours out refreshing concoctions crafted with some of Japan’s finest spirits.

Three of City of Dreams’ dining outlets each have their own special offerings for Valentine’s Day.
At Nobu Manila, there’s a five-course Omakase menu, available only on the date itself. Along with a complimentary welcome sake cocktail and zensai or appetizer, the menu consists of Nobu Canape Selection of oyster with Nobu salsa, oyster tempura with wasabi aioli, yellowtail jalapeño, and black cod on a bed of butter lettuce; a seasonal selection of Nobu sushi cups comprised of toro (tuna), uni (sea urchin), wagyu beef, and tamago (egg). The amorous dinner menu continues with truffle-crusted sea bass with lobster miso butter sauce, baby corn and crispy shitake mushroom; sous vide Australian tenderloin with dark chocolate and Nobu Cabernet reduction, smoked kabocha (squash) and onion dust; and for dessert, lime mousse with pistachio curd and mixed berries sorbet. (P11,000 nett for two persons).
Over at Haliya, the special five-course menu for modern Filipino cuisine lovers starts with a choice of two cocktails. Then, there’s sugba (grilled) scallops with compressed watermelon, pomelo salsa, mango sauce, calamansi curd, and squid ink tuile, followed by tinapang (smoked) tanigue (mackerel) carpaccio with pickled grapes, roasted pili nuts, red radish, caviar, garlic mayo, rose water, red onion pearls and micro green salad. There’s also kalabasa (squash) crema with caramelized pork longganisa (sausage), cheesy pan de sal Biscocho (twice baked bread), pumpkin seed oil and microgreens; and mechado, consisting of pan-seared Black Tyde rib eye, adlai aligue risotto, potato fondant, baby carrots, wilted kang kong (water spinach), asparagus, and pea puree. For dessert, the Chichingka (bibingka cheesecake) with salted egg, cheese and coconut. (P8,350 nett for two persons)
Finally, at Crystal Dragon, which serves Cantonese cuisine and regional Chinese specialties, the set menu starts with a glass of sparkling wine and includes: oven-baked swan pastry filled with chicken and truffle paste, deep-fried lychee prawn mousse stuffed with smooth mozzarella, and pan-seared sea scallop in golden cup for appetizer; braised hot and sour crab meat broth with shrimp wonton; wok-seared cumin-marinated Australian lamb rack with sauteed fresh mushrooms and broccoli; poached hand-pulled noodles with braised eggplant and minced pork; and Mangaro dark chocolate dome with ginger crème brûlée.
