Looking for Free-Flowing Beer? Oktoberfest Returns to Solaire Next Month
It’s been 82 years since the first Oktoberfest happened in Manila, and, for the first time since the pandemic, it’s finally coming back.
The German Club Manila’s annual Oktoberfest celebrations is happening this year on October 14 and 15 at The Tent at Solaire Resort and Casino.
A centuries-old tradition that began during the wedding of Bavarian royalty, Oktoberfest is a celebration marked by merriment, camaraderie, copious amount of food, and, of course, free-flowing beer.
Curiously, Oktoberfest celebrations in Munich, which is the capital of the Bavarian region in Germany, actually starts in September.
As in years past, the German Club Manila is pulling out all the stops to make this year’s event one for the books. Expect an authentic German flavor to the festival this year, from imported German beer and hearty food, to actual celebratory revelry of singing and dancing to the music of the Bavarian Sound Express.

A highlight of this year’s Oktoberfest is German Club Manila’s partnership with the Philippine Rotary in Emergency Preparedness and Response (PREPR) Foundation together with ICC- Philippines and Germany, and Rotary Districts 3780, 3810, 3820 and 3830 to hold the first authentic Rotary Oktoberfest on October 13 at Solaire. This project is for the benefit of their End Polio Program and their Disaster Relief and Response.
