Your Guide to the Cinemalaya 2022 Mall Screenings Schedule

Filipino independent film festival Cinemalaya is back on the big screen this year after two years of being online, with the participating films to be screened in select SM and Ayala Malls cinemas.

All 11 full-length films and 12 short films that are part of Cinemalayas' 18th edition will be shown in SM Cinemas in Megamall, Baguio, Clark, Dasmariñas, and Legaspi, as well as in Ayala Cinemas in Glorietta, Trinoma, Manila Bay, Capitol Central, and Centrio from Aug. 10 to 16.

The films can also be viewed in three theaters at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in Pasay City. Here are the show times:

Held annually since 2005, Cinemalaya aims to support and encourage independent filmmakers to produce their own films through financial grants.

Cinemalaya has paved the way for many iconic Filipino independent films throughout the last 18 years, including "Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros", "Ang Babae sa Septic Tank", "Transit", and "Ekstra".
