Apple TV+ Space Opera Foundation Season 2 Looks Damn Expensive
What budget? The sky’s the limit at Apple TV+. At least that’s what it looks like based on the sheer production quality of Foundation Season 2’s second trailer. If the trailer alone looks this impressive (and expensive), then we just know that the actual series will blow Season 1 out of the water.

Foundation Has Announced Season Two's New Characters
After dropping the trailer, which already has one million views in just 22 hours, Foundation is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on July 14. Based on the iconic stories of Isaac Asimov, Foundation is Apple TV+ bid to make a mark on the science fiction space. In case you live under a rock, Isaac Asimov is the god of science fiction. His work inspired the likes of George Lucas. His body of work, Foundation, unintentionally became a self-fulfilling prophecy when the series set the foundations for the world of science fiction as we know it today. Apple TV+ adaptation of this epic series is ambitious, but the company certainly isn’t holding anything back. Foundation Season 2 already looks like it could surpass Season 1.
Picking up where we left off, the second season will see the discovery of psionic societies, the rise of religious fanaticism, and the fall of the Empire. All very vague things, as expected. Because in Foundation, the main character isn’t a person—it’s history.
Foundation stars Lee Pace as Brother Day, Jared Harris as Hari Sheldon, Lou Llobell as Gaal Dornick, and Leah Harvey as Salvor Hardin. The second season is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on July 14.
