The Bunny is back.

After years of rumors, LeBron James is officially joining Bugs and the Tune Squad in a reboot of Space Jam. As if that wasn't exciting enough, the film is being produced by Ryan Coogler, the director behind Black Panther and Creed. Terence Nance is directing the film, which is tentatively scheduled to begin production in 2019.

The original film starred Michael Jordan and Bill Murray along with the team of Looney Toons in what is undisputedly the most formidable movie in the lives of young '90s kids. Want to know more? Visit the Space Jam site, which is as iconic as the movie itself.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, James said he was inspired by Coogler's vision with Black Panther and Creed.

“The Space Jam collaboration is so much more than just me and the Looney Tunes getting together and doing this movie,” James said. “It's so much bigger. I'd just love for kids to understand how empowered they can feel and how empowered they can be if they don't just give up on their dreams. And I think Ryan did that for a lot of people.”

The original film came with a laundry list of cameos, including GOAT in his own right, Bill Murray. Fingers crossed for a Jordan/LeBron showdown and a remake of "I Believe I Can Fly," so we all don't have to feel weird about listening to the original version more than two decades later.
