If you're dreaming of having a Starlink connection at home, prepare to reach deep into your pockets: a Starlink router will set you back $599 or roughly P33,300, while a monthly subscription will cost $99 or roughly P5,500.
SpaceX and Starlink representative Rebecca Hubert confirmed the prices in a press briefing with the Department of Information and Communications (DICT).

DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy said there are several Starlink satellited positioned over the Philippines at any given time. In order to connect to Starlink, users need a Starlink satellite dish that can be mounted on the roof. “Once you set it up, this dish searches the sky for the strongest signal for the satellite. We have several dozen satellites over the Philippines at any given time,” said Uy as reported by ABS-CBN News.
The Philippines Ordered to Expedite Starlink Registration
Back in May 2022, the Philippine government ordered the National Telecommunications Commission to expedite Starlink's registration so it could proceed with rolling out its services as soon as possible.
Starlink is powered by Elon Musk’s SpaceX. It provides satellite internet services and has over 1,700 low-Earth orbit satellites. The satellites can beam down up to 500 Mbps internet connection for businesses, and up to 110 Mbps connection for residential customers.
