The New iPad Pro Will Be A Total Revamp, According To Leaked Details
Despite dropping new iPhones and the Apple Watch 4, Apple's autumn bounty isn't quite over: sources have leaked more info about the long-rumored new iPad Pro models, which were absent from the big September launch.
The tech website 9to5Mac says the big innovations will include dumping the home button, a smaller bezel—meaning a bigger screen—and an even more powerful processor than the new iPhone XS series. The A12X processor, codenamed Vortex, is significantly faster than the A12 of the XS, and will allow the iPad Pro to output 4K HDR video to external displays.
The site also says that there are likely to be two WiFi models of the iPad Pro available in two size options. Apple's shift away from the home button and toward face ID will continue, and the iPad Pro is expected to have face ID which works in both portrait and landscape modes. The Lightning port is out too—that'll be replaced by a USB-C port in the same place.
Along with that, it's believed that the iPad Pro will come with a magnetic port on the back for attaching third party accessories and extras too, in addition to an updated smart keyboard.
