We may have heard stories here and there, but getting sent to the emergency room for breaking your junk during hot sex is a very real possibility. While it isn't common (with a report from the United States National Library of Medicine saying it has an incidence rate of one case per 175,000), penile fractures are probably one of the worst injuries you can get. It's not going to be pretty, that's for sure. Imagine breaking your leg... but with your boner. Yeah. Not the most creative example. But it does paint the picture
How could it happen? Chances are, phallic fractures come about when we least expect it. In the heat of the moment, if you will. Yikes.
Apparently, there are just some sex positions that just increase the likelihood of such ever happening. Unfortunately, the three most dangerous sex positions are also the most popular ones. Why, God? So the next time you and your partner do these, you guys should exercise some extra caution.
1| The Reverse Cowgirl
According to viral TikTok doctor Dr. Karan Raj, the reverse cowgirl is particularly risky because this is the easiest scenario where the penis slips out and gets crushed by our partner's pubic bone. He claims that it's responsible for a good chunk of fractures.
2| Doggystyle
Yes, we are just as upset by this news as you. According to a report from the Huffington Post, out of 69 cases of penile fractures published in the journal Nature, 37 of them were caused by the doggy. Boo-fucking hoo.
