Jordan Clarkson Reacts to Jalen Rose Waving a Walis on ESPN

ESPN analyst Jalen Rose is a fan of the Filipino soft broom called walis tambo. In fact, he has a long-running tradition of bringing out the cleaning tool and waving it in the air every time there is a probable sweep at the NBA Playoffs.

Rose’s famous walis was proudly waved again on September 6 during ESPN’s NBA Countdown, on which Rose predicted the Miami Heat will sweep top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks. It was more interesting because fans pointed out the Filipino connection between the walis tambo and the Heat’s Filipino-American coach Eric Spoelstra.
During the halftime of game 4, Rose began shouting “Walis! Walis!” which triggered a tweet from another Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson.
i hear you @JalenRose .... WALIS! hahahaha thats too funny my grandma used to say that
