Manny Pacquiao's One Condition to Fighting Conor McGregor

If his potential 'Super Fight' with Floyd Mayweather falls through then Conor McGregor has a fresh challenger in the form of Filipino legend Manny Pacquiao—but there's a catch.

"If McGregor will fight me in boxing, why not? But not in MMA. MMA is much different than boxing," Pacquiao said in an interview with Fox Sports.

"The fight can be at the 140-pound weight division. My normal weight when I'm not on training is just 141 or 142 pounds.

"I didn't see footage of Conor sparring. But if we are talking about Conor McGregor and boxing, it's different. Boxing is different than MMA."

McGregor has been angling for a big money fight with Mayweather for months now, but it appears a resolution is still a way off, even if McGregor insists he's happy to fight under official boxing rules.

In a recent public appearance, McGregor addressed a crowd saying: "He [Floyd Mayweather] wants it under boxing rules. He wants a boxing match. He doesn't want a fight.

"Tell Floyd and Showtime, I'm coming. Tell him to go to them Showtime offices. I want $100 million cash to fight you under boxing rules 'cause he's afraid of a real fight."

Having retired from boxing after losing to Mayweather in 2015, Pacquiao returned to the ring last year, winning two bouts and recapturing the WBO world welterweight title.

We're sure McGregor will have something to say about it all.
