Cebu Pacific Reminds Passengers About Terminal Transfer of Selected Flights

Cebu Pacific's regional brand, Cebgo, is set to transfer its flights from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 4 to Terminal 2, effective November 7, 2024. All Cebgo flights start with the code DG, and these are the ones affected by the transfer. Meanwhile, the rest of Cebu Pacific flights with flight code 5J will continue to operate from NAIA Terminal 3.

It can be remembered that the Ninoy Aquino International Airport's operators earlier announced the temporary closure of its oldest terminal to make way for renovations. New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC) General Manager Angelito Alvarez also previously said that NAIA Terminal 4 may reopen in February 2025.

AirSWIFT Airlines, which was recently acquired by Cebu Pacific, is also relocating its operations from Terminal 4 to Terminal 2 starting November 5. AirSWIFT is known for its direct flights from Manila to El Nido in Palawan and other destinations like Boracay, Romblon, and Cebu.

Sunlight Air, on the other hand, is transferring on November 6. These are the Manila - Cebu - Manila flights (2R 853, 2R 854); and Manila - Coron - Manila flights (2R 637, 2R 638).

NAIA Terminal 2 primarily operates Philippine Airlines' domestic flights—at least, until the aforementioned changes. With this, the flag carrier has advised the public to "expect a higher passenger volume at Terminal 2 of Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), when three other airlines transfer their domestic flights from another NAIA terminal to Terminal 2. This is part of an ongoing terminal rehabilitation and reshuffling initiative of the new NAIA airport management." There will be no changes in the terminal assignments of PAL: domestic flights are still at NAIA Terminal 2, while international flights are still at NAIA Terminal 1.

Passengers are encouraged to allow extra time for check-in and other airport procedures (at least three hours prior to departure). It is best to check in online and monitor flight status.
