This Luxury Cruise Across Asia Is Setting Sail from Manila
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), a trailblazer in global cruise travel, is set to make waves with its latest expansion across the Asia Pacific region. With a history of 57 years in breaking boundaries, the cruise line is launching over 30 new port-intensive cruises across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. This ambitious endeavor will see a total of 85 voyages from September 2024 through March 2026, featuring new-to-the-region ships: Norwegian Spirit, Sky, and Sun. The first two, in particular, are setting sail from the port of Manila to cater to the Filipino luxury traveler.

12-Day Cruise on Norwegian Spirit
Norwegian Spirit is set to debut in Asia on May 26, 2024, with a 10-day cruise departing from Tokyo. But the trip departing from Manila is sailing in December with 10 more ports of call: Boracay, Puerto Princesa, and Coron in the Philippines; Hong Kong; Kaohsiung and Hualien in Taiwan; and Miyakojima, Naha, and Ishigaki in Japan.
The starting price is $1,699, with a free open bar, excursions, and specialty dining.
10-Day Cruise on Norwegian Sky
In January 2025, Norwegian Sky will debut in Asia, offering select Japan and Southeast Asia cruises ranging from 10 to 17 days through March 2025. Its upcoming schedule coming from Manila is also in January 2025, with stops in Boracay, Coron, Kaohsiung, Ishigaki, Naha, Miyakojima, Hualien, and Taipei.
Like the Norwegian Spirit cruise, the starting price ($1,849) includes an open bar, excursions, and specialty dining.
Asia is becoming increasingly popular among travelers, with the Asia-Pacific region projected to be the primary driver of travel growth, up 20% over 2023. With top destinations for U.S.-based travelers in 2024 being Tokyo and Osaka, Japan; Seoul, South Korea; Taipei City, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, NCL is committed to delivering immersive port-rich itineraries to these cities and more.
