Dian Serranilla took the Internet by storm when she celebrated her 18th birthday on March 28, 2017, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

She is now being referred to as the "MOA Arena debutante."

In case you're wondering why she opted to stage her party at this gigantic venue, she told Candymag.com, "MOA Arena was the top choice because the venue met all the specifications needed for the stage and everything else."

A thousand guests flocked the MOA Arena to witness a fashion show of sorts and a mini-concert featuring the debutante's family and friends.

Nancy Crowe and Hotlegs took charge of the high-powered numbers.

Seeing all the snaps taken during the grand celebration, we couldn't help but ask how much they spend, and with debuts becoming more and more elaborate, we thought it helpful to find out what the ballpark figure is to celebrate a girl's coming of age. You know, just to give dads a heads up.

Our friends at PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) researched about the costs of the most important details.

1. VENUE: MALL OF ASIA ARENA

Her dad Steve is into producing concerts (he brought Kanye West here) so he pretty much got a good deal. But rental of the arena for four hours with the aircon on would cost around P600,000 and an additional rate of P120,000 per excess hour.

2. CATERING: K By Cunanan

What's a grand celebration without a sumptuous dinner?

Upon our inquiry, we learned that a plated meal costs P1,000 per head.

She had 1,000 guests, so just do the math.

3. GOWNS

Albert Andrada (think of Pia Wurtzbach's Miss Universe gown) created her opening outfit and another gown for the 18 roses portion.

Dubai-based Filipino designer Ezra Santos (think of Heart Evangelista's wedding gown) did her main gown.

In an email exchange with PEP, Ezra Santos detailed the gown he designed for Dian.

It was "made of dusty green organza and tulle with hand embroidered cascading flowers in pastel green, beige, grey with light gold," and embellished with swarovski crystals and french paillette with a detachable two meter removable train.

He didn't disclose the cost of the gown.

But the base price for his full lace dresses, according to broadsheets in Dubai, is DH80,000 or P1,078,246.

4. LED INVITES: PRINT DIVAS

Dian's classy LED invites cost P2,500 per piece.

But of course total price vary depending on the quantity.

Reports claimed she had around a thousand guests, but did not indicate the total number of people her family invited.

Let's peg the cost at P2,000,000.

Our rough estimate given the items above: a whopping 4.7 million pesos!

Here's the breakdown:

P600,000 (venue)

P1,000,000 (food)

P1,100,000 (dress)

P2,000,000 (invites).

Note that the total excluded discounts, the two Andrada gowns she wore, the MAC cosmetics they used and gave away, talent fees, ex-deals (if any), and other party details.
