Andrew Tan's Hotel and Resort Company Has 200 Job Openings

If you’re looking for a job or want to advance your career within the hospitality industry, you’re in luck. A homegrown hotel and resort company with several properties around the country has announced a massive recruitment drive to fill at least 200 positions. 

Megaworld Hotels and Resorts (MHR), a unit of tycoon Andrew Tan’s Megaworld conglomerate, said the job openings are for different hotel departments like F&B Service and Culinary, Front Office, Finance, Housekeeping, Sales and Marketing, Reservations, IT and Human Resources.

MHR’s properties include Belmont Hotel Manila and Savoy Hotel Manila located in Newport Resorts World in Pasay City, Kingsford Hotel Manila within the Entertainment City in Parañaque, Hotel Lucky Chinatown in Binondo, Eastwood Richmonde Hotel and Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, and Twin Lakes Hotel near Tagaytay. In the Visayas, they have Savoy and Belmont Hotel in Boracay Newcoast, Richmonde Hotel Iloilo in the Iloilo Business Park, and Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown in Lapu-Lapu, Cebu.

The first leg of its recruitment caravan is happening at the Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown in Lapu-Lapu Cebu on September 27, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Representatives from all 12 hotel properties as well as other manpower agencies will be present during the event. The company says applicants should just bring their resumes and be ready for an on-the-spot interview. 

MHR, which is one of the country’s biggest homegrown hospitality companies, says more than 40% of the demand for manpower (or about 80 job openings) is for Belmont Hotel Mactan Newtown, a 500-room hotel which is set to open before the end of the year. 

The company now has about 4,500 rooms spread across 12 hotels and six brands.
