PayMongo Names GoTyme Co-Founder Jojo Malolos as New CEO
Fintech veteran Elmer "Jojo" Malolos has been named the new president and CEO of PayMongo. Starting February 1, Malolos will take over PayMongo’s leadership while interim CEO Isabel Ridad moves on to pursue her own venture.
In November 2022, PayMongo’s co-founder Francis Plaza stepped down as CEO after TechinAsia reported on Plaza’s alleged harassment of an employee and the company’s top-level infighting.

Malolos is the chairman and co-founder of GoTyme Bank and previously served as the president and CEO of JG Summit’s data analytics firm DAVI and the Gokongwei-led conglomerate's digital equity ventures firm JGDEV.
One of the most respected fintech leaders in the Philippines, Malolos has worked with various digital banking and financial services companies globally, such as Wing Bank of Cambodia, Smart Money (now Maya), Mastercard Financial Services in Latin America, and Cignifi in Boston.
As Malolos steps into his new role as PayMongo’s CEO, he will be responsible for re-shaping PayMongo and preparing the company to scale up for its next phase of growth. This includes the next generation of products and services to add to the region’s burgeoning internet economy.
