Robina Gokongwei-Pe Dresses Up as the Giant Doll from Squid Game

Robina Gokongwei-Pe, president and CEO of Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RRHI), has donned the popular Squid Game costume of the giant doll from the show's first episode. She wore it at a virtual meeting to welcome her vendors at the annual RRHI Trade Partners' Day.

In Squid Game, the giant doll was an arbiter of life and death, determining who gets killed in the Red Light, Green Light game.

The giant doll is actually based on a popular character in Korean textbooks. The giant statue is also a real monument borrowed by the showrunners from one village in South Korea.
