Are You Ready to Discover Dumbledore's Secrets?

His hair's so big because it's full of secrets.

The third installment of "Fantastic Beasts", the extension of the Harry Potter franchise, has been unveiled by Warner Bros studios late Wednesday in Manila.

Titled “The Secrets of Dumbledore,” the prequel will revolve around the adventures of series protagonist, magizoologist Newt Scamander (played by Eddie Redmayne), whom a young Albus Dumbledore (played by Jude Law) taps to help stop the rise of powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, the series' main antagonist.

The film is set to open in theaters on April 15, 2022, three months earlier than its original release date.

“Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?" according to its official logline.

Grindelwald was previously played by Johnny Depp, who exited the series after he was fired by Warner Bros.' following allegations he beat up ex-wife Amber Heard. Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen replaced Depp for the role.

Years after the original Harry Potter movies wrapped, its author J.K. Rowling, who is still involved as a scriptwriter for the Fantastic Beasts series, has become a polarizing figure among fans of the wizarding world for several statements she made that are harmful for transgender people.


In late 2020, she was criticized for taking issue with the phrase, "people who menstruate", appearing to define women with the biological function and excluding transgender women in the process,
