PSA: Don’t Joke About COVID-19 Tomorrow. Not Cool.

We know tomorrow is April Fool’s Day, but please, for the love of God, don’t joke about COVID-19.

Don’t prank anyone that you’re COVID-19 positive, or say lockdown is extended, or worse, that there’s a cure. There’s humor, then there’s cruelty—so let’s stick the former, all right?

To quote EarthShaker PH, “COVID-19 positive will never be a good joke.”

And to anyone with the audacity and bad taste to do so might as well walk into an isolation facility for two weeks, as per Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto.

Hey, we’re not saying humor is bad. It’s needed for our mental health during this crisis. But save pandemic jokes for 100 years from now, and not when people are still dying.
