The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has steadily kept the alert level at Level 1 over Taal Volcano over the last six months since the volcano erupted on January 12, 2020.

Alert Level 1 over Taal Volcano means that steam-driven explosions, volcanic earthquakes, and minor ashfall can occur.
