Driver Wear: Balancing performance and style

F1 drivers are highly trained world-class athletes who need to remain focused, comfortable, and stylish both on and off the track. The paddock wear for George Russell and rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli is designed with lightweight materials and Adidas' Aeroready technology to keep them cool and composed even under immense pressure. The fit and cut ensure unrestricted movement, allowing drivers to perform at their peak during race weekends while presenting a sleek, modern aesthetic that represents both brands' style DNA. This apparel isn't just about looking good—it enhances the physical and psychological readiness of the drivers as they engage in one of the most demanding sports in the world.

Mechanics: Engineered for speed and precision

A Formula 1 pit stop can last less than three seconds, requiring precision, agility, and flawless execution. Mechanics need apparel that provides maximum mobility while being snag-resistant to prevent any hindrance during crucial moments.

The Adidas collection incorporates flexible and durable fabrics that offer full range of motion, ensuring mechanics can move freely while working on the car at breakneck speeds. The tops feature reflective details for enhanced visibility in the fast-paced and often chaotic pit lane environment, while breathable, moisture-wicking materials keep the team comfortable across different race climates.

Engineers: The mobility and functionality of technical polo tops

Race engineers are the strategists behind the team’s success, constantly moving between the pit wall, garage, and paddock. Their clothing needs to be professional yet practical.

The collection’s technical polo tops blend lifestyle cues with performance technology, offering a breathable and lightweight alternative to traditional engineer wear. These tops ensure comfort during long hours at the circuit while maintaining a sharp, professional look befitting the masterminds behind the race strategy.

Fanwear: Fusing streetwear and motorsport culture

Beyond the paddock, the collaboration extends to the passionate F1 fanbase. Fanwear isn’t just about showing team support—it’s designed for real-world wearability.

The collection includes hoodies, tops, and T-shirts crafted with soft, breathable fabrics, making them ideal for race day weekends, where fans endure long hours under the sun. The graphics and design elements celebrate the spirit of Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1, allowing supporters to showcase their allegiance in style.

Footwear: Performance meets lifestyle

The range also introduces performance and lifestyle footwear, including adidas' Ultraboost 5 and Supernova sneakers. These shoes provide optimal comfort and stability, ensuring that team members can withstand the physical demands of a race weekend. Fans, too, can enjoy stylish and comfortable options, seamlessly blending motorsport fashion into everyday life.

“We believe sport is for everyone, at every level, and motorsport is no different,” said Bianca Mast, product lead at Adidas. “Together with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, the prospect of bringing the pinnacle of motorsports to a new audience is one that truly excites us, and we can’t wait to see the famous three stripes in the paddock this season.”

“It’s incredible for us as a team to work with a brand like adidas that truly understands what it is like to operate at the highest levels in sport,” said the team’s lead driver George Russell. “Their knowledge, expertise, and attention to detail is something that is only going to benefit us as a team and hopefully give us an advantage as we set out to fight for race wins and championships.”
