New Ways to Rock Red: Celebrate Chinese New Year in Style
Good to know: The number 520 also means “I love you” in Mandarin, so when Chinese superstar couple Fan Bingbing (the fifth highest-paid actress in the world in 2016, according to Forbes) and Li Chen celebrated their 520th day together, they decided to do it in a whole lot of red, the color of love and, for the coming Chinese New Year, celebration and luck.
The pair welcomes the New Year in a special collection from H&M. Pick out what to wear from the line, which includes a pullover in all-over red or a black bomber jacket with hints of the lucky color in a pair of birds. For your date (and even the kids), there are plenty of options, including fantastic long-sleeved mini that Fan wears. “During the Spring Festival, everyone wants to stand out in style when the streets are awash in auspicious red,” says the actress.
“Chinese New Year is one of the most important holidays on the lunar calendar, and what better way to celebrate the season than with your loved ones?” adds Li, who hopes that the warmth and joy will resonate with all.
