The Naruto x Montblanc Collection Packs a Punch

Storytelling is the throughline of the Naruto x Montblanc collaboration. The former, a Japanese anime series currently celebrating its 20th anniversary, is a product of the practice. The latter, a German luxury goods company, provides the stationery that actually brings ideas to life, whether it be a much-loved manga or a criminally under-appreciated self-published memoir (copies upon request). So it stands to reason that they've worked together on a cross-category collection of special edition items.

The Naruto x Montblanc collection comprises pens, notebooks, leather goods, smartwatches, and more, adorned with characters and motifs from the colorful manga comic-turned-film that follows the adventures of the titular ninja. Most notably, the line features a brand-new edition of the Meisterstück—a pen that Montblanc describes as an “icon of writing [...] that’s been at the service of self-expression and creativity for generations"—complete with a gold nib with ruthenium-coat embellishment.
