The Nike Carhartt WIP Collab is Not Afraid to Get Dirty

Nike leans into workwear with Carhartt.

Long lasting isn’t a quality that you can usually ascribe to streetwearit’s fair to complain that the print and fabric quality of a lot of hyped labels out there can feel disproportionate to their price tagsbut then you also have names that have earned respect because of the longevity of their pieces like Carhartt.

Known for hard-wearing workwear, the label established their Work In Progress line in 1989 to adapt their rugged style with contemporary design. Aside from the sleek yet delightfully utilitarian pants and jackets we’re familiar with, they’re also dropping a Nike x Carhartt WIP collaboration that could very well contain your daily beaters for 2019.

The OG Vandal was released in the early ’80s when the WIP idea was probably a rapidly growing twinkle in Carhartt’s eyes. Another core material, Dearborn Canvas, is used to swaddle this all-black hightop. P6,745

The collab’s second take on the AF1 is a Hamilton Brown version that lets you focus on its oversized pull tab for that utilitarian touch. P6,745
