Paris Jackson Joins the Cool Gang of Famous People's Kids Who Model, and She's Doing It for Penshoppe
In the Age of Influence, the reality is this: Those who wield a sizable social media presence rise to the top, and naturally, those who are famous or adjacently famous, such as the beautiful children of legends or personalities, win.
Nowhere else is this more apparent than in the fashion. In the aughts, magazines and brands made the jump from supermodels to actors as spokespersons and cover stars. Then, with the rise of social media, they began exploring reality stars and social media creatures. We all know what happened next.
Now, we find ourselves in a time when Kendall Jenner, sister of reality superstar Kim Kardashian, and Gigi and Bella Hadid, who are daughters of the The Real Housewife of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid, are top models. Early this year, Kaia Gerber, daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford, also became a veritable runway regular, walking the shows of Chanel, Valentino, Saint Laurent, Prada, and more.
And now, Paris Jackson, daughter of King of Pop Michael Jackson, is the latest famous child in the fashion world. Adding to her growing portfolio of glossy covers, the 20-year-old has become the newest ambassador of homegrown brand Penshoppe.
It’s hard not to compare her to the other famous daughters, all of whom are coincidentally (or not!) Penshoppe ambassadors, too. But Paris has her own look. Whereas Kendall and Gigi are cool girls and Kaia can be considered as most fashionable thanks to her supermodel genes, Paris exudes a more indie spirit.
She sports tattoos, has a personal style that can be described as Rock ‘n’ Roll meets Earth Mother, and is actually an activist who supports animal welfare and human rights. This year, Paris also makes her film debut in Gringo with Charlize Theron and Amanda Seyfried.
So, yeah, she doesn't quite fit the mold of shiny perfect people. The point is she lends a vibe to the preppy-sporty collection of Penshoppe.
The clothes are for the lovely ladies (tell your girlfriends!), but you can see Paris in all her quirky-cool glory below.
