Rustan’s, home of fine things (and also our second home), launched its online shopping hub late last year. It was a necessary evolution for the decades-old company as more and more Filipinos were already shopping online.

The shift made even more sense when things hit the fan this summer. With an online hub in place, the retail giant was able to adapt to the limitations of the lockdown. Rustans.com reports that it was “one of the first online stores to deliver essential items to customers during the ECQ,” providing a sense of normalcy for people in the first months of the pandemic. Adds Donnie Tantoco, president of Rustan Commercial Corporation, the company was “guided by empathy to offer… solutions that will help our customers manage their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.”
And now, amid the triumph of establishing the site as well as weathering the troubles the world, the online shop is about to celebrate one year of operations. To mark its first birthday—always a big deal—it’s throwing a one-day sale on August 15, Saturday, during which you can get up to 60-percent off on select items from over 150 brands.
