Travis Kelce Knows the Secret to Date Night Style
We've all fretted over what to wear on a date before. Do you go dressy or casual? What's considered too casual? You want to look like you made an effort, after all. Do brown and black even match? Should you grab a different jacket to go with those pants? The options—and questions—are endless, but on a date night in New York with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce stepped out in a surefire cure-all to your date-night outfit woes: a simple, off-white corduroy set.
It really is that easy. And if it's good enough for a pro footballer while he's out with one of the most famous superstars in the world—who, by the way was dressed in a mesh Jean Paul Gaultier top and leather mini skirt—, then it's certainly a good pick for wherever you're headed.
The new (but long-time coming) lovebirds were papped exiting Waverly Inn in lower Manhattan last night, and Kelce was all smiles. Maybe it was the good food, maybe it was the good company, or maybe it was his dope outfit plastering a confident grin across his face. Which is why we're firm believers that a matching set is a stroke of genius. It takes all the guesswork out of an outfit, but looks cohesive by nature. When you make it even more interesting with a cool texture like corduroy (I'd stray from denim sets, lest 2001 Justin Timberlake is what you're going for), you're set to look fresh as hell without really even putting that much effort or styling in.
Kelce's relaxed-fit, baggy set has a casually cool vibe to it, especially with the jacket left unbuttoned, a black tee underneath, and clean white sneakers completing the look.
