Vandy the Pink and Clarks Originals Usher in the Spooky Season With the Skeleton Wallabee
The spooky season is officially upon us, and Vandy the Pink is prepping the vibes with the first official installment of his collaboration with Clarks Originals. Teased for months by the South Korean-born, Virginia-based designer, the macabre take on the British label's storied Wallabee silhouette is highly anticipated by Vandy's cult following—one that boasts names like Daniel Arsham and Takashi Murakami—thus is expected to sell out in a heartbeat.
The salient detail of the otherwise raven black Wallabee is the white skeletal design positioned on the toe box. Each bone-shaped leather cut-out is individually sewn atop the moccasin as evinced by the exposed stitching, making for a tricksy treat of a tread.
Additionally, the collaborative design boasts a special edition Wallabee tag stamped with the designer's quirky moniker, along with a tab tucked under the topline decorated with his namesake label's increasingly coveted floral logo.
The Vandy the Pink x Clarks Originals Skeleton Wallabee is set to drop exclusively on Vandy's website on Thursday 6 October. And if the creative's Insta is anything to go by, the introductory black iteration will soon be followed by several colorways—white, green, brown, and beige included.
