Since the days of Ricky Ricardo and Archie Bunker, and perhaps even before then, men all over the world have come home after a long day’s work and taken respite from their daily grind by relaxing in the comfort of their living room recliner. It has been from this iconic chair that generations of fathers and grandfathers have held court. Easy and cozy, but often unattractive and lacking in flair, this much used but underappreciated furniture piece has often been the subject of many arguments between the king of the castle and his more stylish queen. And, as in most modern fairy tales, the queen has often won, with the poor recliner relegated to the far corners of the household.

Natuzzi's Re-Vive chair in quilted, linear, suit, and white quilted versions

Fathers, fret no longer. After years of research and development, Italian furniture maker Natuzzi has unveiled Re-Vive, the world’s first performance recliner that is so stylish and chic, it will have women clamoring for one of their very own. Sculptural in form, this intuitive leather cocoon reclines with the body’s movement and combines fine craftsmanship with innovative, ergonomic technology from Formway, a leading high-performance design studio based in New Zealand.

“Designed to move with you, and for you to be moved,” the Re-Vive is available in two sizes: king and queen, four styles: tailored, quilted, casual, and linear, and in an array of color options. Complemented by a tilting ottoman, the chair is engineered to respond to individual movements in a fluid motion with its dynamic arms, sliding headrest, and a swivel base that take the occupant from an upright position to lying down while supporting posture and aiding circulation. Innovation, with function and beauty—Lucy and Edith would certainly approve. Available at MOs Design, B2 Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City, 856.2748.
