3-In-1: Hyundai Unveils 3 New Electrified Models in 1 Night

Despite the gloomy weather one weeknight in July, Hyundai Motor Philippines gathered dealers, distributors, car enthusiasts and media professionals at the Ayala Museum in Makati for the launch of the all-new Palisade Hybrid. What guests didn’t realize was that Hyundai also unveiled two other models that same evening: the all-electric Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 9.

Palisade Hybrid: A New Standard in Premium 7-Seaters

The new Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is positioned in the premium midsize seven-seater SUV segment, offering a compelling package that blends road presence, innovation, and efficiency. Its powerful 2.5-liter Turbo Hybrid engine delivers 334 PS and is mated to a smooth six-speed automatic transmission. 

Exterior highlights include 21-inch alloy wheels, LED wide-projection headlamps, and an imposing and easily recognizable silhouette. Inside, Hyundai elevates passenger comfort with ventilated rear seats, power lumbar support, and relaxation seats for both first and second rows. There’s also a Bose premium sound system and intelligent features like fingerprint recognition for AVN and engine start.

The Palisade Hybrid is also equipped with Hyundai SmartSense ADAS, Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance, Side Parking Distance Warning, and a Head-Up Display. Hyundai is positioning the Palisade to offer premium luxury at an accessible price point. SRP is set at P3.98 million.

Ioniq 9: Hyundai’s Flagship E-SUV

Hyundai debuted its full-sized all-electric SUV, the Ioniq 9, at the event. Targeted for modern, tech-savvy families, the Ioniq 9 features a 110.3kWh battery, delivering up to 600 km of all-electric range (AER). It can also fast-charge in just 24 minutes, making it ideal for long-distance travel and urban commuting alike.

The Ioniq 9 also blends sedan-like aerodynamics with SUV ruggedness, showcasing cube projection headlights, digital mirrors, and a sleek silhouette. Inside, a lounge-like six-seater cabin offers a spacious 3,130mm wheelbase, relaxation comfort seats, a Bose sound system, and an intuitive panoramic curved display. Practicality is also top-tier, with Multi-Terrain Control, built-in front and rear dashcams, inside/outside V2L, and 10 airbags ensuring both functionality and safety.

The Ioniq 9 is priced at P4.58 million and is available through a made-to-order program offering up to 39 interior and exterior combinations, emphasizing personalization in electric luxury.

Refreshed Ioniq 5

HMPH also introduced a refreshed version of the Ioniq 5, which now comes with enhanced styling, upgraded technology, and improved range. Sporting a revised bumper design, new alloy wheels, and a newly added rear wiper for better visibility, it retains its futuristic appeal while becoming more functional.

The updated Ioniq 5 now delivers up to 530 km of AER with a 229 PS output, ensuring that power and efficiency go hand in hand. The inclusion of additional SmartSense features and inside V2L capability further bolsters its position as a top-tier EV in the local market.

The Ioniq 5 is offered in three variants with prices ranging from P2.84 million to P3.698 million.
