In Addition to 2 New PHEVs, Mercedes-Benz PH Unveils Sustainability Campaigns
Mercedes-Benz Philippines has officially introduced two new plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) to the local market. The all-new E-Class E 350e and the GLC 350e both mark a significant step in the brand's push to promote sustainable luxury.
The E 350e Plug-in Hybrid, priced at P5.490 million is an executive sedan that features the MBUX Superscreen—a 14.4-inch central touchscreen integrated with a 12.3-inch passenger display—and a Burmester surround sound system with 17 speakers. The vehicle offers on-board AC charging of up to 11 kW, ensuring quick and efficient recharging.
Meanwhile, the GLC 350e Plug-in Hybrid SUV, retailing at P4.890 million combines boasts the largest load compartment in its segment, offering up to 1,530 liters of space with the rear seats folded. Equipped with 4MATIC all-wheel drive and an Off-Road driving program, the GLC 350e has a plug-in hybrid system that promises an all-electric range of more than 100 kilometers.

At the launch, Inchcape Philippines, the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz in the country, also announced a campaign to contribute to sustainable development beyond just its vehicle offerings. The company said that, through a partnership with Liter of Light Philippines, a grassroots solar lighting movement, every Mercedes-Benz EQ model purchased would equal a solar-powered light donated in the customer's name to communities without access to electricity. The initiative not only provides clean energy solutions but, more importantly, also empowers communities by involving them in the assembly of these lights.
In addition, Inchcape Philippines itself has taken significant steps to reduce its environmental footprint. The company's Greenhills facility has undergone a conversion to solar power, reflecting its commitment to sustainable operations. Mercedes-Benz Philippines employees recently participated in a workshop to build solar-powered lights. According to Mercedes-Benz Philippines General Manager Ms. Maricar Parco, some 300 families in Brgy. Daraitan, Rizal have benefited from solar lighting systems last year and the partnership continues this year.
