29 Brands, 2 Venues: What You Need to Know About MIAS 2024

Car enthusiasts know that the Manila International Auto Show is an important event in the annual automotive calendar. Now on its 18th year, MIAS gathers many of the most important motoring brands under one roof, effectively providing a glimpse into where the industry is right now, and where it’s headed. 

This year, however, that one roof will become two as MIAS gears up for its biggest, most ambitious edition ever. Organizers heard the feedback from attendees in previous years and, for the first time in its history, the auto show will be held in two venues simultaneously—the World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTC) and SMX Convention Center Manila (SMX).

In addition to having more space for the cars, MIAS will also provide shuttle services between the two venues at specific pick-up and drop-off points that will run the whole day.

The car show needs both venues as MIAS is set to present a total of 29 automotive brands, the most it has ever displayed in its history. In alphabetical order, the participating brands at MIAS 24 are: BAIC, BAW, Bestune, Changan, Chery, Chevrolet, DAF, Dongfeng, Foton, GAC, GWM, Hongqi, Hyundai, Hycan, JAC, Jetour, JMC, Lynk & Co, Kinglong, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Omoda and Jaecoo, Peugeot, Seres, Subaru, Suzuki, and Weichai.

In case you’re keeping count, 21 of the 29 brands are from China, which is a clear sign of country’s aggressive push to dominate the market.

Many of the carmakers are set to unveil brand new models at MIAS. Look also for the official Philippine launches of brands like JAC and JMC.

MIAS 2024 starts on Thursday, April 4, 2024 and will be open to the public until Sunday, April 7, 2024. One ticket, at a reasonable P150, will grant visitors access to both venues.
