Porsche Philippines Previews its Top 718 Variants
Porsche Philippines recently gave enthusiasts and select media an exclusive look at its pinnacle mid-engine performance models: the 718 Boxster Spyder RS and 718 Cayman GT4 RS. These variants showcase Porsche's commitment to delivering top-tier performance, precision, and pure driving exhilaration across all its models.

As the most powerful roadster in Porsche's 718 lineup, the Boxster Spyder RS comes equipped with a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine from the 911 GT3, delivering an impressive 500 PS (368 kW). It rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 308 km/h. This high-performance roadster features a lightweight body weighing only 1,410 kg, enhancing its agility and responsiveness, while the manual soft-top roof offers an unfiltered experience of the engine's roar.

The 718 Boxster Spyder RS benefits from advanced aerodynamics, including a carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) front bonnet and a distinctive ducktail rear design that optimizes downforce. Equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and a mechanical limited-slip differential, the roadster guarantees an exhilarating, razor-sharp driving experience. Inside, the race-inspired interior includes lightweight CFRP bucket seats, a blend of leather and Race-Tex materials, and exclusive white Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur dials and Chrono stopwatch.

The 718 Cayman GT4 RS on the other hand, stands out with its motorsport-derived DNA, boasting the same 500 PS 4.0-liter flat-six engine found in the 911 GT3 Cup race car. The car's blistering performance allows it to accelerate from zero to 100 kph in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 315 kph. Designed for peak performance, the Cayman GT4 RS offers a motorsport-like experience on both track and road.

The Cayman GT4 RS's aerodynamic profile is distinguished by a fixed rear wing with a swan-neck mount and lightweight CFRP components like the front bonnet. Its sports chassis, enhanced with RS-specific shock absorbers and upgraded spring rates, ensures precise handling, making it a true performance machine.
Porsche’s Weissach Package
Both the 718 Boxster Spyder RS and 718 Cayman GT4 RS can be enhanced with the optional Weissach Package. For the Cayman GT4 RS, this package includes forged magnesium wheels, carbon-fiber finishes on key exterior parts, and titanium exhaust pipes. Inside, it adds a titanium roll cage and the Club Sport Package, elevating the car’s track capability. For those preferring the Weissach Package without the roll cage, an alternative version offers the same performance upgrades minus the track-focused feature.

Both models offer extensive customization, allowing owners to tailor their specs to individual preferences. The Boxster Spyder RS features a premium interior with leather and Race-Tex details, while the Cayman GT4 RS, especially with the Weissach Package, showcases advanced performance features and high-tech enhancements for the ultimate driving experience.
