Jollibee and Mang Inasal Get Pre-Colonial Makeovers in The Sims 4 Universe

Have you ever wondered what Jollibee would look like during pre-colonial times? We certainly haven't. Yes, we know. Consumerism, capitalism, and pre-colonial identities don't exactly complement each other. Still, for curiosity's sake, a couple of hard-working Southeast Asian mod creators decided to give us some studies in The Sims 4 (mods) because whatever-the-hell-the-reason-why these days.
Cebuano theater company Karakoa Productions recently posted some stills of this Sims-ified gems on its Facebook page. It read: "Thanks to Filipino and other Southeast Asian mod creators, building our favorite fast-food restaurants and native architecture in The Sims 4 is now possible! Even pre-colonial outfits can be assembled in the game if you know where to look!"
It added: "Here are our Sims 4 builds of Jollibee and Mang Inasal stores, featuring vernacular architecture and precolonial outfits as service crew uniforms."
And the details on these builds are just impeccable. Allow us to give you a closer look.

These are just cool as hell. The builders pretty much got everything right, as far as this reimagined playtime world is concerned, from the architecture, design, tattoos, and motifs down to those signature Jollicrew uniforms and lush landscapes reminiscent of countryside hills. As they say in Sims language, vadish, you beautiful mod masters. Now, if only we could get a Chicken Joy or a PM2 in there, we'd love to see it.
