Cheers to the Chinese New Year with Hennessy's Limited Edition Collection

If you’re passing through Makati anytime this month, stop by the open area in Greenbelt 5, where Hennessy opened a pop-up boutique to present a limited-edition collection in celebration of Chinese New Year. To welcome the year of the dragon, the renowned cognac house is unveiling extra special V.S.O.P, X.O, and Paradis bottles inspired by a digital art piece created by visionary Chinese artist Yang Yongliang called “Dragon’s Odyssey.”

The remarkable digital artwork is itself inspired by ancestral Chinese culture but executed in a thoroughly modern way. The golden dragons frolic free and unencumbered amid similarly colored waves, symbolizing its surging power and glorious continuity of its legacy. Pracicing digital photography like a painter, Yang imbues the dragons with incredibly lifelike details, including the texture of the dragon’s skin and teeth.

Hennessy looked to the artwork to create its Limited Edition collection, which also aligns with the brand’s new campaign tagline, “Together, we are unstoppable.” The new limited edition series embraces the ethos of 2024, which is to to unleash positive energy and celebrate what brings us together.

The V.S.O.P. Deluxe is a drink for celebrations. Created in 1817, Hennessy’s signature blend offers a smooth and balanced tasting profile and pairs well with savory dishes like beef, and seafood, as well as dessert like a pear tarte tatin with vanilla. The all-red bottle is in a striking gift box that features an intricate red sleeve design and adorned with Yang's remarkable artwork that showcase lifelike metallic dragons against a dynamic wave backdrop. Hennessy X.O Chinese New Year 2024 Limited Edition

Hennessy’s X.O, meanwhile, has a bold and complex tasting profile, and has been a favorite for generations since it was introduced in 1870. An ideal accompaniment to dishes like seared fish fillet, spiced beef, or chocolate and dried apricots, the X.O comes in an exquisite gold color, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune.

Meanwhile, the Hennessy Paradis is the rarest of the three. Encased in an exquisitely handcrafted porcelain decanter with intricate gold detailing featuring the majestic dragons created by Yang Yongliang, the limited edition Paradis was designed to impart purity and preciousness, and is reserved for the highest ideals of refinement and sophistication. Hennessy says the Paradis is exclusively available to private clients as only 485 bottles were crafted worldwide.

Hennessy’s limited edition collection was launched at the pop-up boutique in Greenbelt 5 amid a joyous Chinese dance, and activities such as a fortune teller and calligraphy sessions.
