Quezon Club: Future-Forward Nostalgia at the Nocturne
From dining rooms with televisions tuned to telenovelas to food parks alive with music and laughter, Filipinos have always believed that while food feeds the body, good food nourishes the soul—and strengthens the bonds between family and friends. At Quezon Club, the newest spot north of the Metro, this familiar truth reaches glamorous—and even sensual—new heights. The spirit of communal dining and live entertainment that has always defined our culture is elevated, reimagined through French-American fine dining, choreographed performances, and a curated nightlife experience that stirs all five senses.

From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Chef January Belardo conducts the evening’s culinary symphony, serving refined dishes that draw from memory as much as mastery. The Maryland Crab Cakes with harissa aioli and microgreens recall beachfront dampa or paluto feasts—complete with the playful ritual of squeezing a coin of torched lemon to suit one’s palate. The Lamb Rack transforms the familiar kambingan highway experience into fine art, its precision-seared meat topped with a port jus deglazed with all the smoky, caramelized bits—the “fire at the back” reimagined for candlelight. Sweet snap beans and pesto tame the boldness with freshness and grace. The Sous Vide Duck Breast, served with roasted sweet potatoes, cowboy jus, and bright orange jus, bridges Victoria and Pateros, to Tex-Mex and Paris in one tender bite. (And where’s the egg, you ask? Look for the Bird Seller Boulevard on the bar list.) That kamote is divine. Dessert is a Hazelnut Lava Cake à la mode—as if your favorite chocolate-hazelnut spread and ice cream slipped into their best evening attire.

Alongside the dining experience, Quezon Club’s santelmo allure glows in a sensual interplay of sound, light, and motion. From Tuesday to Saturday, diners are treated to a different spectacle from a rotating roster: a harpist-balladeer who serenades, a dance ensemble that grooves to pop beats, a show band reviving all-time favorites, a belt-it-out diva, and a pole performance that lends a daring, artful edge to the evening.

It’s not just dinner—it’s an experience. One designed for those who savor the drama of dining, the thrill of discovery, and the luxury of staying out just a little too late.
As night deepens, the club evolves. After ten, the lights dim, the DJ takes over, and the menu shifts to cocktails and bar fare. Here, the signature drinks are ekphrastic—liquid tributes to Filipino modern art. Fernando A.’s Rice Highball references the painter’s idyllic fields through notes of pandan and the earthy sweetness of rum molasses. Breakfast Arabesque—a mix of gin, lemon, and clarified cereal milk—pays homage to Joya, its golden custard rim recalling textured abstraction. The Bird Seller Boulevard, with whiskey, tomato, vermouth, and an itlog na pula rim, salutes Manansala’s mastery of contrast, served in an egg-shaped glass nestled within a birdcage. Meanwhile, Sabel’s Appletini captures BenCab’s sensual white-on-white minimalism—deceptively delicate at first sip, with its sweetness giving way to a lingering, unexpected depth. One could imagine guests making the journey from museum to club, completing the experience of art through flavor.

If our memories of dining out are casual, noisy, and joyfully imperfect, Quezon Club polishes that nostalgia to a shine. It’s as though the food park and the five-star ballroom finally met halfway—where sequins meet smoke, and silk chiffon meets the scent of the grill.
