You Should Try the Italian Offerings at this Hotel's Dinner Buffet

The buffet spread at S Kitchen at the Sheraton Manila Hotel doesn’t disappoint if you’re looking for a wide variety of flavors and cuisines in one go. From Japanese staples like sashimi, sushi and tempuras, to a salad bar and roasted meats, to an Asian noodle station and Filipino favorites, a meal here is always a sure thing. 

Small wonder, then, that the restaurant is full most nights. People see and appreciate value for money.

Chef Andrea Burzio may have the physical appearance of someone who just finished culinary school yesterday, but the Italian chef has had quite an extensive 15-year career in prestigious dining establishments worldwide. He’s had stints at luxury hotels and resorts in places like Barbados, Hong Kong, Cebu, France, Thailand, and Myanmar, as well as aboard a cruise ship and has worked with Michelin-starred chefs.

Throughout his culinary journey, Burzio has never forgotten the comforting flavors of his home country, and it is this that he pays homage to and throws into the spotlight in his debut offering as the newest executive chef at Sheraton Manila.

In addition to the regular buffet offerings at S Kitchen, Chef Burzio adds a few special dishes to the spread. There’s a genuine Italian ravioli, a porchetta that’s not unlike our own lechon, an authentic Italian lasagna, and a classic Italian burrata caprese salad. For dessert, there’s a delicate and decadent cannoli that promises to transport diners to Sicily.

Chef Burzio says he himself conceptualized and developed the Italian items in the buffet as a way to share his own culture and heritage to Filipino diners. 

The Pranzo & Cena (literally, lunch and dinner) Family Feasts at Sheraton Hotel Manila is available from Monday to Saturday, from 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m., starting October 2, 2023. Weekday dining is priced at P3,200 net per person, while weekend dining is at P3,500 net per person.
