Celebrate Cinco De Mayo at This Outdoor Fiesta in BGC

If you’re looking for a place to celebrate the traditional Mexican holiday of Cinco De Mayo in Manila, you’re in luck. The Embassy of Mexico, in partnership with local gastronomic collective The Tasting Club, is hosting an al fresco Cinco De Mayo celebration dubbed Viva La Fiesta a day late (May 6) at Bonifacio Global City. 

Guests can enjoy a variety of traditional Mexican food prepared by Manila House, including chicken fajitas, beef tacos, cheese quesadillas, elote (grilled corn on the cob with a spicy cream sauce), nachos, salsa, guacamole, and churros with chocolate dip.

Of course, there’s free flowing drinks: 100 percent pure agave classic margaritas, and Codigo Blanco tequila shots. There’s also a free tasting of super premium tequilas and mezcal courtesy of Grand Cru, as well as Mexican Corona beers.

No Mexican party is complete without music, and at this event, local band Mariachi Emmanuel will perform live from 6 p.m, until 9 p.m., followed by a live DJ to keep the party going.

In case you didn’t know, Cinco De Mayo began as a commemoration of an historic battle between Mexican and French forces in 1862. It has since evolved to become a celebration of Mexican culture.
